01Why migrate

WooCommerce holds you back. Shopify lets you scale.

WooCommerce is fine to start, but as your business grows, hidden costs, security issues and maintenance become real problems.

Superior Speed

Shopify runs on a global CDN infrastructure. No hosting fees, no plugin optimizations — your store is fast by default.

Built-in Security

With WooCommerce, every outdated plugin is a risk. Shopify handles SSL, PCI DSS and security patches automatically.

Predictable Costs

WooCommerce: hosting, premium plugins, dev emergencies. Shopify: one fixed monthly fee that covers everything.

Zero Technical Maintenance

No more updating WordPress, WooCommerce, plugins and PHP separately. Shopify updates itself — you focus on selling.

Mobile Native

Shopify themes are built mobile-first. The mobile shopping experience is smooth with no extra plugins.

Unlimited Scalability

Black Friday with thousands of orders per hour? Shopify won't crash. WooCommerce needs a dedicated server and lots of luck.

02Comparison

Criteria WooCommerce Shopify

03Process

Five steps. Complete migration. No surprises.

Every migration follows the same tested process, structured so you don't lose a single order, customer or product.

01

WooCommerce Audit

We audit products, orders, customers, plugins and current setup. We map what migrates and what gets reconfigured in Shopify.

02

Full Backup

Before any change, we take a full database and file backup. WooCommerce stays live throughout the migration process.

03

Data Transfer

We export and import products, variants, images, historic orders and customer data. Collections are faithfully recreated.

04

SEO & Redirects

We set up 301 redirects for every URL and transfer meta tags and SEO structure. You don't lose your Google rankings.

05

Testing & Launch

We test checkout, payments, transactional emails and full flow before going live. DNS switches only when everything is perfect.

04What we transfer

Everything you built arrives in Shopify

Products & Variants

Titles, descriptions, prices, stock, images and variants (colors, sizes, custom attributes) — all faithfully transferred.

Historic Orders

Order history imported for reporting continuity and access to historical data at any time.

Customer Database

Customer accounts, shipping addresses and order history per customer — fully migrated to Shopify Customers.

Collections & Categories

Categories become Shopify Collections, with the same hierarchy and correct products in each section.

URLs & SEO

301 redirect for every URL, meta titles and descriptions transferred, XML sitemap updated — Google Search Console connected.

Payment Setup

We set up Shopify Payments or your preferred gateway (Stripe, PayPal, Netopia, etc.) and test every method before launch.

06FAQ

Everything about migrating from WooCommerce

How long does a WooCommerce → Shopify migration take?

It depends on the store's size. A store with 100-500 products migrates in 3-5 business days. Stores with 1,000+ products and complex historic orders may need 1-2 weeks. We set a clear schedule before starting — no surprises.

Will I lose my Google rankings when I migrate?

No, if done correctly. We set up 301 redirects for every URL (products, categories, pages), transfer meta titles and descriptions, update the sitemap and reconnect Google Search Console. A slight 2-4 week fluctuation is normal, but rankings recover and often improve due to Shopify's superior speed.

Will my store be offline during migration?

No. WooCommerce stays live throughout the migration process. We build Shopify in parallel, test everything and switch the DNS only when you're 100% happy with the new store. The DNS switch takes a few minutes and is done outside peak hours.

What happens to existing orders and customers?

Historic orders and customer data are exported from WooCommerce and imported to Shopify. Existing customers receive an email to set a new password for their Shopify account — the process is automatic and transparent for them.

How much does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?

The price depends on the number of products, variant complexity, historic order volume and whether custom functionality is needed. Send us your store details and we'll give you a free quote within 24 hours. It depends on product count, site complexity and how much blog content there is.
